Who’s Behind Kitchen Skip?
I’m a busy Mama of two, optimist, lover of buttered toast and steaming hot mugs of coffee. I recently left a long career as a recipe developer to start a new career in education. I’m still finding the balance between writing this food-related newsletter and working full-time in an elementary school. In other words, I’m a very busy parent who struggles to get dinner on the table every night, just like you!

I’m not on social media so Substack is the place where we can get to know each other better!
I started my food blog Kitchen Skip in 2019 to motivate myself out of a cooking slump. Cooking dinner was no longer a joy; it had become an endless and overwhelming chore. I called my blog Kitchen Skip because I wanted to inspire myself (and you!) to happily skip into the kitchen, instead of dragging our feet and dreading the task. I also wanted simple, nourishing recipes and a simple meal planning strategy that let me skip a few nights in the kitchen each week. Like most things in life, the blog continues to be a work in progress But I’m thrilled to be sharing my recipes with you and your family!
