If you need help getting dinner on the table, you’re in the right place
Hi! I’m Jenny, a busy parent of two kids, optimist, avid reader, lover of buttered toast & steaming hot mugs of coffee. I write this newsletter and also have a food blog called Kitchen Skip. Before recently changing careers to work in education, I was a recipe developer for more than a decade.
I love cooking and can do it well - even so, getting dinner on the table every night for my family is the hardest job I’ve ever had. It’s exhausting, right? That’s why I’m so glad you signed up for my newsletter. We’re in this together!
Both my Substack newsletter and my traditional food blog are devoted to sharing easy dinner recipes for busy parents. There’s also chit-chat about reading, cookbooks and parenting. As a subscriber, you can expect:
1-2 newsletters a month, filled with recipes & real life dinner ideas. Occasionally, when I have time, I send out additional newsletters and meal plans.
Bonus recipes, published exclusively for my Substack subscribers (not published on my food blog.) I send a mix of easy dinner recipes, side dishes and snacks, directly from my kitchen to yours.
Free subscribers only have access to bonus recipes for a 7-day preview period. After 7 days, all bonus recipes go behind a paywall. Paid subscribers always have full access to the archive of bonus recipes.
You can become a paid subscriber for just $35/year, which supports my work and gives you access to the growing Kitchen Skip recipe index. It’s like an online cookbook, just for you!
You can scroll through the archive of past newsletters here or check out all of the bonus recipes for paid subscribers here → Kitchen Skip Recipe Index
I love using the Substack app to read newsletters. But if I want to search a newsletter for content (like recipes) it’s MUCH easier to leave the app and use a browser to visit my Substack homepage. You can find my homepage at kitchenskip.substack.com
You can also directly access lots of free recipes by going straight to my food blog, Kitchen Skip. The catch? You’ll have to scroll through lots of ads - necessary so that food bloggers like me get paid for our work.
The internet is filled with an overwhelming number of recipes BUT reliably good recipes from a trusted source are becoming harder and harder to find. That’s where Kitchen Skip comes in.
This is a reader supported, ad-free publication that sends reliably good recipes directly from my kitchen to yours. I only send recipes that I test multiple times and feed my own family for dinner.

I love hearing from my readers! It’s easy to contact me simply by leaving a comment on any of the newsletters I send out.
Thanks again for subscribing, this is going to be fun!
Jenny
