Grilled tofu can be added to a rice noodle salad or rice bowl, either for dinner or for lunch the next day
This is the first summer that I have started grilling tofu because honestly, it scared me a little bit. I was convinced it would stick to the grill and turn into a dry, crumbly mess.
I should have followed the advice of my 8 year old, whose new life motto is “Just Go For It!” adopted only after she was shocked and disappointed to learn that “Just Do It!” was already taken.
Once I decided to “Just Go For It!” I realized that grilling tofu is actually very easy.
For this recipe, slabs of tofu are briefly marinated in freshly squeezed lemon, sesame oil, soy sauce and maple syrup. The flavor is light with a perfect balance of sweet and salty. Grilling the tofu gives it a slightly charred outside and a smoky flavor that I think you’ll really love.
