Favorite Books of 2023
An end of the year reading round-up, because life isn't only about cooking
The Kitchen Skip newsletter is mostly about food and cooking, but we all need a break from feeding our people, especially after the holidays. Cooking is something that I love and genuinely enjoy but sometimes it feels like a chore. Reading, on the other hand, never feels like a chore. It is pure pleasure.
In July I sent out a mid-year reading update. Now, as the year draws to a close, I like to look back at what I’ve read and look forward to what I might read in the new year.
I’d love to hear about your favorite books in 2023, too. I always peruse end-of-the-year book lists and listen to podcasts about books, but many of my best recommendations come from friends, family, and you!
